Daniel's
Impact |
| “...Mr. Davison
is a true professional in every sense
of the word and it was indeed a pleasure
to hear him share from his experiences.
He captivates his audience and is skilled
in his ability to move them to tears
or laughter-yet no one blinked an eye....I
sincerely believe our students benefited
greatly from this event and perhaps
some will make better life choices because
of the inspirational message he brought
to our school.” Robert O.

FOUR-LIMB AMPUTEE
TALKS TO ARMWOOD STUDENTS
The Brandon News, Brandon, FL, Section
B, Page 17, December 14, 2004.
Dan Davison played the electric bass
guitar for a band that was signed
to a Warner Brothers contract. His
poor choices led to a quadruple amputation.
Pointing to himself he said, “This
is my prison.” Alicia Harp,
a 16-year-old junior who has cerebral
palsy, talked to Davison after the
speech. “God told me to come
back here and talk to you. You’re
an inspiration to me,” she said.

People are amazed by all the things that Daniel
Davison has accomplished since the accident
that left him a quad amputee. They leave Daniel's
presentation with much more than they expect
- his wisdom, sincerity and inspirational
message lifts spirits and empowers them to
understand that with the right choices and
attitude, anything is possible.
As a
Little Child, Music was in Daniel's Blood and
today, Music Remains a Part of Who He is!
Daniel was an accomplished musician, playing
the clarinet as a child, keyboard in his youth
and the bass in and around Chicago Land in
his adult life. Surprisingly, during the immediate
post-operative period after a part of all
of his limbs were amputated, Daniel was thinking
about how and what type of music he was going
to play again. He explained,
"If you have enough
of your limbs left, you should be able to
play drums. The best drummer I know told
me that the action is all in the wrists.
With both wrists and both knees, I knew
that I could play the drums."
Daniel's vision for the future includes a
presentation of his music to audiences in
combination with his powerful inspirational
story. Daniel devotes time every day to practicing
percussion instruments so that this dream
will one day come to fruition. |
